Our Services The group owns and operates a large fleet of offshore marine support vessels. This fleet comprises anchor handling tugs, towing and supply vessels, crew/pilot boats, line handling vessels, flat top cargo barges, accommodation only barges, construction and accommodation barges and a shallow water construction, accommodation and pipe lay barge support.
Concept[ edit ] Taisun was built to install very large up to 20, ton integrated modules on top of a vessel’s hull. Traditionally, offshore vessels such as drilling semi submersibles or FPSOs were built from the ground up in modules of to tons, which meant that much installation, hook up and commissioning work was left to be done on board where access is limited and efficiency lower. Taisun facilitates simultaneous construction of the lower and upper parts of the vessel which allows for a shorter overall project schedule, manpower improvements of up to two million man-hours while safety and quality levels are improved.
Awards[ edit ] Guinness World Record Taisun holds the world record for “heaviest weight lifted by crane”, set in Yantai on April 18, and set at 20, metric tonnes 44, , In order to win the award, Taisun met four technology criteria: This award recognizes technologies which are novel; have a significant impact on the offshore industry; meet health, safety, and environmental standards; and are well conceptualized and developed.
Kraken FPSO Arrives At Hook-Up Location
Montara has recoverable reserves of 24 million barrels and is expected to produce 35, bopd of light, low-sulphur crude. The field is located in about 80m of water and has a 10m oil column and a 25m gas column. Montara has four oil-producing wells, including a gas re-injection well and its production life is estimated to be 12 years. Australian oil project developer Coogee Resources took over as the operator of the field in September
Prelude FLNG is the world’s largest floating liquefied natural gas platform as well as the largest offshore facility ever constructed. The Prelude was built by the Technip / Samsung Consortium (TSC) in South Korea for a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell, KOGAS, and Inpex. It is metres (1, ft) long, 74 metres ( ft) wide, and made with more than , tonnes of steel.

Premier Oil Confirms Catcher FPSO Hook-Up
The FPSO has a storage capacity of almost one million barrels of oil, but with a daily production level of up to , barrels of oil, it needs frequent hook ups. The field combines a range of factors that make production especially challenging. Apart from the effects snow, cold and lack of daylight have on working in the area, the Barents Sea is known for its rich — and vulnerable — wildlife. The weather in the Barents Sea changes constantly. In addition to the extensive winter preparations, there are also substantial environmental contingency plans:

The vessel has left Keppel Shipyard in Singapore and is currently in transit to the Catcher field in the central North Sea. BW Catcher is expected to reach UK waters early in the fourth quarter, depending on prevailing weather conditions. Upon its arrival, BW Catcher will commence a seven-year fixed term contract, with extension options of up to 18 years, with Premier Oil. Based on a field life of 10 years, the contract value is USD 2. We have worked over 11 million man hours without a lost time injury and in total around 19 million man hours.
BW Catcher has an oil storage capacity of , barrels and a processing capacity of 60, barrels per day. BW Catcher FPSO Arrives to North Sea; Commissioning Underway
The hook up of the Submerged Turret Production ‘STP’ buoy mooring system, to the FPSO was completed on 15 th February and a full rotation test performed so that the vessel is now on station and securely moored. Commissioning work will continue on the topsides. Reconstruction of the turret area pipework and connection of the risers and umbilicals to the swivel stack is being undertaken followed by commissioning of the subsea infrastructure.
Delivery of first oil in Q2 is on track. Ends For further information please contact:
the offshore installation, hook up and commissioning (IHUC) phase of the Ichthys LNG Project. a metre long floating production, storage and offloading facility (FPSO), designed to hold million barrels of condensate and operate for 40 years in a cyclonic environment.
Available online 13 December 13 December Publisher Summary This chapter compares four types of production risers: The SCR is a cost-effective alternative for oil and gas export and for water injection lines on deepwater fields, where the large-diameter flexible risers present technical and economic limitations. An SCR is a free-hanging riser with no intermediate buoys or floating devices. TTRs are used as conduits between dynamic floating production units and subsea systems on the seafloor, for dry tree production facilities such as spars and TLPs.
TTRs are individual risers that rely on a top tension in excess of their apparent weight for stability. Flexible risers are one of the common types of production risers. Theymay be deployed in a variety of configurations, depending on the water depth and environment. Flexible pipes have traditionally been limited by diameter and water depth.
Hybrid risers HRs consist of a vertical bundle of steel pipes supported by external buoyancy.
It stated, “There was no sum of money allocated for development of the yard in the EPC contract price. As the NC modules and integration of the Egina FPSO were to be executed in the yard, the completion of the yard was essential to the success of the project. There were no existing facilities. Hence, the option of corporate finances. Consequently no fraud or misrepresentation by SHIN.
This matter has been clarified by Total in writing and resolved before the Senate.

Mobilisation and dimensional control measurements were done in the Dubai dockyard. InterMoor Marine and Surveyor Personnel were on board during the installation and hook-up to ensure the operation was carried out properly and safely. InterMoor also procured FPSO aft and forward towing equipment and provided tow masters and surveyors for the offshore operation. The tolerances for position and movement during the initial stage of the mooring were very tight. This required thorough knowledge and experience to develop the proper procedures and to control the marine operations offshore.
The marine and positioning solution was perfectly integrated as InterMoor offers both as combined. The surveyors could advise the mariners with very short communication lines and the positioning solution was optimized for performance while minimizing cost. InterMoor saved the client Saipem considerable money by covering marine and positioning services as integrated package reducing interfaces, administration and communication requirements.
