In Air Realistic mode, matchmaking is performed based on the aircraft selected for the battle. Since the vehicles not selected cannot be used in the battle, there is no need to include them in the calculation. In Ground Forces Arcade mode, matchmaking is performed based on the tank with the highest BR in the set. In Ground Forces Realistic mode, matchmaking is performed based on the tank or aircraft with the highest BR in the entire set depending on which vehicle has the highest BR.
Many players have a preference for several modes.
Premium tanks are single-configuration tanks that are located outside of their nations’ tech trees. These include tanks that are purchased with gold in-game, tanks purchased in the gift shop, or tanks that are gifted/given for special events.

This real-time strategy game makes you fight for control. By Dan Stapleton It is said that in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. In that sense, Halo Wars 2 is the de facto king of real-time strategy games on consoles, where the venerable genre is underrepresented because of the challenges of managing a lot of units at once on a gamepad. Like its predecessor, Halo Wars 2 does a reasonably good job of overcoming many — not all — of those challenges, but compared to the best RTS games on PC, where it also exists, its campaign missions are flat and unambitious, and its distinctive Blitz multiplayer mode sacrifices the stability of a level playing field in the name of fast and unpredictable action.
Seeing instantly recognizable vehicles like Warthogs and Banshees on the field adds an inherited personality to what is otherwise a fairly standard set of units.
Light tanks are pretty much equivalent to tier 9 meds and heavies. the T is not a *bad* light for its tier, and it’s not an infantry tank (unlike most of the special-mm lights). Also, nicer armor for lucky bounces and good cannon. Fun times in both. Churchill 3 has had pref matchmaking for at least as long as I’ve owned it. Khang.
Slated to hit production servers in March, it reimagines the game with a new graphics engine and over 25 ultra-realistic maps. This impressive revamp has been over four years in the making. We wanted to give the game a modern look, while also ensuring you can enjoy it on your rig. Much like we all do in a battle, we needed to plan a few steps ahead. In our case, it called for a solution that would support the latest technological advancements while having enough capacity to let us advance graphics in tandem with it.
Also, we needed a technology tailored to World of Tanks. Hardly any graphics engine both now and then would fit these three requirements. So we brought client development in-house, created something specifically for World of Tanks, and named it for what it was: It took our team three years to make it happen. Each map now has a distinguished flare and provides even deeper immersion thanks to a variety of new and improved technologies and effects.
The new graphics engine let us blend 16 textures so that terrain looks truly volumetric, detailed down to the smallest blades of grass. Soaking and responsive water: Tanks and any other environmental object that interacts with water get wet, just like in real life.

Thus, when a player has been repeatedly put into too many difficult battles, the balancing is done in favor of easier battle sessions, thereby encouraging the player by providing an easier game environment. Similarly, when the player has been repeatedly put into too many easy battles, the balancing is done in favor of harder battle sessions, thereby keeping the player challenged instead of letting the player become bored with easy games.
Another possible algorithm is to increase the battle level by one within the permissible range for a vehicle each time a player wins a battle with that vehicle, and decrease the battle level by one within the permissible range each time a player loses a battle with that vehicle.
So here is the general info based on the devs answers. General Provision The match-making system is an algorithm which distributes players into the teams before the start of battle. The way it works is really simple. The mach-making system considers the info about your vehicle and assigns your a number weight. It is based on that weight you are assigned to one or another group of players. There is a ceiling to the maximum weight of the team. It is a floating number but total weight of each of the two battlign teams under any conditions always will be equal.
The total weight limit of a team is floating because the level of the tanks in the game is always growing.

No more than 3 SPGs per team If you joined us in the Sandbox, you already know the limit of no more than 3 arty per side balances combat interplay between SPGs and other vehicles. Both stats and feedback show that it injects combat with extra fun and variety, and decreases camping, encouraging more active gameplay.
Fewer map dupes The improved matchmaker reduces the number of map dupes with a new logic.
In terms of combat effectiveness, these special Premium vehicles are now much closer to non-preferential matchmaking ones. For example: The IS-6 has received buffs but it will not eclipse the IS-3 as the IS-6 only sees up to Tier IX, but the IS-3 must be competitive against Tier X tanks.
Sluggish, even for heavy tank standards. It has rather low top speed and Power to Weight ratio, meaning it accelerates slowly, and still feels very slow even when it reaches top speed. However, it does have excellent turret traverse speed for a heavy tank, which makes up for a bit of its mobility problems. Overall, mobility of this tank is rather poor, and definitely does not present a strong point. Ironically, the only heavy tank it outperforms in its own tier is the British Churchill I Armor: The only serious armor is located on a part of its upper frontal plate, and even that has a rather large weakspot.
This usually doesn’t matter as the turret provides rather poor protection, which makes it the primary target of enemy fire. It will stop most incoming shells from lower tier opponents, but same tier and especially higher tier opponents will go through the turret armor easily, and may only struggle with hull armor if they try aiming for the mm plate on upper front, sometimes when aiming at lower plate too, which is decently armored.
Overall, for a heavy tank, armor is rather poor, it just can’t be relied upon. Angling does not help much either, though it can be effective at times. The key to survival in Churchill III does not lie in its armor. It suffers from lack of penetration and damage per shell, it’s not exactly accurate, and it’s depression and elevation values are inadequate at best, but what it does have is an excellent rate of fire, which allows for quick elimination of any target.
The fact it fires fast has a demoralizing effect on its target, it never feels good to be hit by shell after shell from a heavy tank every 2 seconds.
Jeux de guerre
Highly rampant with Wargaming’s many Skirmishes, leading to a mixture of very interesting rules, ranging from only tanks of a certain nationality to tanks of a certain tier. In middle-tier fights, the enemy’s top player s is usually this. The Type 59 to a lesser extent. It’s a Chinese knockoff of the T , but requires no grinding to acquire, only real money.
Also, since it’s rated a tier lower than the T , you can start seeing these guys as early as Tier 6.
Now, these special Premium vehicles are much closer to non-preferential matchmaking ones, in terms of combat effectiveness. For example: The IS-6 has received buffs but will not eclipse the IS-3 as the IS-6 only sees up to Tier IX, but the IS-3 must be competitive against Tier X tanks.
In the action game they spawn into tanks much like the Infantryman spawns on his vehicles. The cost of a Tank Crewman also includes the starter light tanks Pz. To unlock a wrench , simply drive your tank around, you will unlock it soon enough via the Tank Driver ribbon. The starter light tanks only have machine guns and do not have cannons, but do not underestimate them. As long as the starter tanks hit an enemy tank’s weak spots and penetrate, it is not unlikely that the starter tanks will win the fight merely due to their large MG ammo capacity before needing to reload.
The Soviet starter lighter tank, the T , is amphibious meaning that it can both drive on land, and float on water. Floating in the water may save you from most anti-tank weaponry , but you will be slow and vulnerable to rocket launchers and projectiles.
